As Porec is toward the north of Istria (see a map of Istria ), it's actually closer to Italy than to most of Croatia! Flights to PorecNearby, Pula airport is the main entry point. See getting to Pula for flight information. You can also take a cheap flight to Trieste or Venice and then a ferry or a bus to Porec. Both modes of transport are more frequent in the summer season. Ferries to PorecThere are passenger ferries from Venice to Porec spring through fall but Porec has no ferry connections to other destinations in Croatia. To get further down the coast you must take the coastal ferry from Rijeka. Buses to PorecPorec has frequent buses to Zagreb, Rovinj, Pula and other Istrian destinations and Porec's bus station is just a short walk from the town centre.
