Seafood
Seafood at Milan restaurant

The dining scene is highly developed in and around Pula and provides excellent value for money. Yes, you can eat meat but you'll miss out on some world-class seafood. See more on Istrian cuisine.

Here are some of my favorite best restaurants in Pula:

Fantasia
Just a little out of the town centre, this is a very familial restaurant. Try the beefsteak flambe in asparagus, mushrooms and prsut sauce.

Gina
Stoja 23
It's a lovely place in the Stoja neighbourhood. Try the ravioli with crabs or the homemade pasta wth scampi and flavoured with lavender and figs.

Milan
Part of the hotel of the same name, this restaurant is highly regarded, especially for the scampi risotto.

Valsabbion
Undoubtedly one of the finest restaurants in Croatia, this is indeed fine dining and worth the short drive to Pjescana Uvala.

Vela Nera
It's location near the marina puts you in a seafood-y state of mind. Try the grouper and aubergine salad, black ravioli in white wine, prawns with travels and baked octopus. Yummy.
